About the Garden State League (GSMHL)

The Garden State Men's Horseshoe League is a traveling league currently consisting of 11 teams. Each team carries a minimum of 9 players and up to 16 players.

• Season: Early spring through August
• Match Night: Primarily Wednesday nights (with a couple Sundays to start the season)
• Match Format: 18 handicapped games per match
• Player Limit: Players may throw in a maximum of 4 games per match
• Handicap: Game-by-game handicap that adjusts from each player’s current weekly average
• Cost: We are a non profit league, however each player is responsible to pay league/team dues which cover match refreshments and other costs associated with league play. This can vary slightly by team and is roughly $150 per man per season

Play Time

Matches are hosted weekly during the season, starting on Sundays 12:30pm, then switching to Wednesday nights starting at 7pm ending around 11pm. Because GSMHL is a traveling league, teams rotate host locations in the South Jersey Area. The schedule and matchups are posted on the Garden State page and team schedule links.
